Fall Harvest in the vineyard is here! Come on out to the vineyard and experience a true wine grape harvest. Show up for an hour, or the entire afternoon with lunch provided after harvest. Picking shears & gloves will be on a table where we can meet in the driveway along with donuts & hot water for various drinks. You provide layered clothing, old comfy shoes, hats and your helping hands:) Remember the grape shears are very sharp so mind your fingers while snipping off grape clusters. Been there and made slight finger cuts!
Here’s how it works. Snip the cluster with your dominate hand, catch it with your other hand. Check for wasp/hornet or bird damage, snip off any damaged grapes letting them drop to the ground. If you see mold on any grape cluster do not pick. Do not pick if you see extensive wasp or bird damage that you can’t clip away. Place the good cluster into the yellow grape bins or picking pails. When the yellow bins or picking pails are nearly full carry them to the nearest large white containers at the end of the rows. Take your bin or pail back to where you left off… repeat and repeat.
We appreciate all hands on deck as the vines are full of ripening Syrah berries 😉 Gloves, pruners, snacks and beverages provided:) Thanks in advance, can't wait to see you all in the vineyard...remember...you heard it through the grapevine! ?  Please let us know if you can be here for sure!   If not, just show up.

On Saturday at 9 A.M. we're asking for volunteers once again to help bring in our final harvest of the Chardonnay, Roussanne and Counoise grapes.  The upcoming freeze this week will end our season as no more photosynthesis can occur.

Meet in the driveway for donuts, hot drinks, grape snippers, and gloves at 9.  Lunch is provided when we're done plus a couple of bottles of wine for your efforts.

We want to thank all those who came for the Syrah harvest last weekend from as far away as Bremerton, Redmond, Snohomish and of course Moses Lake.  We immensely appreciate your help  as always! Thank you!

Hope to have a good turnout and more "heard it on the grapevine" conversations!

    Cheers,
    Dennis & Nancy Parr

Start time is 10 a.m. on Saturday Sep. 18th.
Fall Harvest in the vineyard is here! Come on out to the vineyard and experience a true wine grape harvest. Show up for an hour, or the entire afternoon. Picking shears & gloves will be on a table where we can meet in the driveway along with donuts & hot water for various drinks. You provide layered clothing, old comfy shoes, hats & your helping hands:) Remember the grape shears are very sharp so mind your fingers while snipping off the yellow grape bins or picking pails. When the yellow bins or picking pails are nearly full, carry them to the nearest large white grape clusters. Been there and made slight finger cuts!
Here’s how it works. Snip the cluster with your dominant hand, catch it with your other hand. Check for wasp/hornet or bird damage, snip off any damaged grapes letting them drop to the ground. If you see mold on any grape cluster do not pick. Do not pick if you see extensive wasp or bird damage that you can’t clip away. Place the good cluster into the containers at the end of the rows. Take your bin or pail back to where you left off… repeat and repeat.
We appreciate all hands on deck as the vines are full of ripening Chardonnay & Roussanne berries ? Gloves, pruners, snacks & beverages provided:) Thanks in advance, can't wait to see you all in the vineyard...remember...you heard it through the grapevine!  Masks and Social Distancing are ok!!!
